Thoughts: Great place to have a beer in the afternoon at 3pm, its quiet here before 5pm. (then again, all bars are quiet at 3pm!) Visiting Farmer's Bar at Puchong's Bandar Puteri for the 1st time, it is sandwiched between 2 eateries but you have to head upstairs to the 1st floor. MPSJ parking seems possible at time of visit (Puchong parking is still under MPSJ!). Today, at Farmer's Bar, sampled Craft beer from Scotland (Brewdog) and Australia (Kaiju).
Brewdog Dead Pony Club is a Session American Pale Ale, has a citrusy flavor with a strong thick golden color, looks thick, but I did like the aroma, mostly dry with kind of bitter after taste. Not too sure whats the difference between Session IPA and Session Pale Ale, the "Brewdog Dead Pony Club" comes with ABV of 3.8%; so, Session Pale Ale could also mean less than regular Pale Ale with a lower alcoholic content. Hence maybe the range of ABV from 3.8% - maybe below 5% are considered Session Pale Ales, maybe!
But on the other hand, the 330ml bottle of Australian Kaiju IPA at ABV of 6% is surely a stronger beer, and IPA still my preference of end a beer session, beautiful less intense gold citrusy color, very fruity aroma, but interestingly quite an easy drinking IPA, sweet first and bitter at the end.
I like Farmer's Bar, lots of selection here (advertised at the door to have 150), some familiar and some yet to try (including Japanese brands). The staffs were very helpful and friendly; then again, I was the only customer at 3pm when it just opened for business! Clean and Quiet place and I think there is also an outdoor seating for smokers as well. Not sure about the food here, but there's a black board that shows half-a-dozen of bites including sausages, fries, takoyaki, chicken wings, nuggets, and edamame!
Farmer's Bar has another location at "the Place" (Cyberjaya), near LimKokWeng University. And, the news was that it has also bought Damansara Uptowns "The Great Beer Bar", and infact, coming May 1, is where kind of their "re-opening ceremony" there with beer discounts! In addition, somewhere 2 months from now (After Raya), late June of July, Farmer's Bar will be opening the 4th location at SS15's Subang Parade. Finally, we have a Craft Beer spot in Subang Jaya!
