Thoughts: 仟兩金燒臘 Restoran Xen Gold Filed, the 專門燒臘店 specialty roasted shop is sandwiched between 好意記 Hoo Yee Kee 1&2 Kopitiam, and 3 more Kopitiam: 九五之尊 Meranti Jaya 95, 威威美食坊 Restoran Wai Wai and 老林茶室 Kedai Kopi Uncle Lim. The 5 multi hawker stall Chinese Kopitiam also offers 燒臘 roasted hawker stalls but unfortunately 仟兩金燒臘 Restoran Xen Gold Filed as a specialty 燒臘 roasted shop was quite a disappointment.

In Puchong's Taman Meranti Jaya, just this single road along Jalan Meranti Jaya 2/7, there are 5 Chinese Kopitiam (not sure if there are any other single roads in the whole of PJ district that has that many Chinese Kopitiams):

仟兩金燒臘 Restoran Xen Gold Field offers: 燒肉 Roasted pork, 叉燒 Charsiew, 燒鴨 Roasted duck, 滷鴨 Braised duck, 滷蛋 Braised Egg, 燒鴨 Roasted chicken with either Rice or Wanton Mee. The shop does not offer Kopi or Tea but water and Chinese Tea are FREE! Today's Charsiew looks good but not as tender as what it looks, roasted pork skin was crunchy but not as fresh and slightly too salty for my liking; the same with the Wanton Mee sauce which was too salty. Neverthess, I was the only customer in this specialty roasted shop while all other 5 multi-hawkers kopitiam are with many customers on a Thursday morning. The shop also offers 燒鴨 Roasted duck, 滷鴨 Braised duck, and 滷蛋 Braised egg and maybe those are the shop's signature specialties! And yes, no need to pay for drinks here if you don't mind to having self-service FOC 清水 plain water or 中國茶 Chinese Tea.

Thoughts: Except for Kota Kemuning and Taman Sri Muda (Seksyen 25 Shah Alam), there aren't too many 華人咖啡店 Chinese Kopitiam in 莎阿南 Shah Alam. Hunting for breakfast in Shah Alam this morning; stumbled into this one, called "新美園冷氣餐館 Megah Garden Restaurant" near Proton Factory and was definitely an good find (not visible from the trunk road of Persiaran Klang). It is hidden among the shop lots in Hicom Town Centre (4 rows of shop lots), in Taman Bunga Negara, of Seksyen 27 Shah Alam (about 2km from 馬來西亞寶騰工廠 Proton Factory or 1.2km from 夏普電子 Sharp Electronics). 新美園冷氣餐館 Megah Garden Restaurant offers at least 11 stalls for breakfast and lunch, and night time is a popular destination for its 大炒 "Dai Chao" for 海鮮和豬肉菜餚 Seafood and Pork dishes. 

11 stalls in the morning offering: 雜飯 Mix Rice, 豬腸粉釀豆腐 Chee Cheong Fun and Yong Tao Foo, 咖喱麵 Curry Mee, 燒臘 Roasted, 蝦麵 Mee Yoke, (印度餐 Indian Food, 印度煎餅 Indian Roti Roti), 椰漿飯 Nasi Lemak, (板麵 Pan Mee, 魚丸粉 Fish ball Noodle), (炒粿条 Char Koay Teow, 炒冬粉 Fried Tanghun), (豬肉粉 Pork Noodle, 豬肉丸粉 Pork ball Noodle, 瓦煲老鼠粉 Claypot Loh Si Fun, 苦瓜豬肉粉 Bitter gourd Pork noodle), (雲吞麵 Wanton Mee, 客家麵 Hakka Mee). 

My choice for breakfast was rm$7 "咖喱雞麵 Curry Chicken Mee" which came with Excellent spicy, oily, flavorful curry broth with 2 large pieces of super tender 咖喱雞 curry chicken, generous amount of 豬皮 pork skin, some 豆腐卜taufu pok, 炸豆腐皮 fried bean curd, 鳥蛤科 cockles, 熟蛋 boiled egg, 芽菜 bean sprouts with choice of 黃麵 yellow noodle and/or 米粉 rice vermicelle, or even 豬腸粉 chee cheong fun.

Coming back to Shah Alam Seksyen 27's "新美園冷氣餐館 Megah Garden Restaurant", the kopitiam is actually quite tidy (at least no foul longkang smell). And with 11 stalls and maybe 16-20 varieties of noodles and rice choices, there are a lot to choices for breakfast and lunch. An by 7am, the hawker stalls should be ready to serve breakfast and parking should be possible throughout the day (along road shoulders, side lanes, or MBSA parking). 

Due to its location in the light industrial zone and office shop area, 新美園冷氣餐館 Megah Garden is also a popular dining spot for local and expatriates. 正宗咖哩魚頭 Megah Garden's Special Curry Fish Head, 正宗藥材豬手 Herbal Pork Knuckles, 上湯啦啦 Lala Soup, 金香螃蟹 JingXiang Grab and many dishes all seemed appetizing. With over 24 tables in the ground floor (Fan) and maybe at lest 10 tables in its 1st floor (Air-conditioning), coupled with lots of parking choices especially during evening hours when surrounding shops closed for the day, plus good food; this is one popular dining choice in Shah Alam.

Thoughts: The kopitiam offers 3 stalls: 麻辣板麵 Mala Pan Mee, (金寶干撈粉 Kampar Dry Noodle, 咖喱麵 Curry Mee, 番茄麵 Tomato Noodle, 苦瓜米粉湯 Bitter gourd Beehoon Mee Soup), and 燒臘 Roasted. USJ1's "99冰室美食中心 99 USJ Restaurant" (just next to Petron Petrol station) is probably the least crowded of the 3 Chinese Kopitiam in this part of USJ (USJ 1/19 and USJ 1/20).
