Thoughts: And so, this is the 4th time in the last 6 months travelling for quite a distance from Shah Alam to Kampong Melayu Subang for lunch. The main attraction was the Lamb (Kambing Harimau Nangis)! but here AMS also offers both barbecue fish as well as Asam Pedas fish. You can also order other side dishes like Telur Dadar and Mixed Vegetables. Today, the main attraction was the Asam Pedas Fish with Ikan Jenahak or 紅鯛魚 "Mangrove Red Snapper". Comparing the body/tail to the fish head, the fish head version is still the better one although the price is almost double.

Food Thoughts: In my opinion, if you have only one place in mind to go for Malay food in Shah Alam; Restoran Hatinie should be top of your list, the Restoran not only serves East-Coast cuisines but also variety of Malay dishes from as early as 7am to beyond 7pm in the evening. 
For early birds, you are offered with Nasi Lemak, Nasi dagang, Nasi Kerabu, Soto, Laksam, variety of Lauk in the morning as well, Malay desserts (Kueh Kueh), and even Satay with choice of Beef, Lamb, or Chicken! There are all freshly prepared in the morning, with the steamy hot weather in the afternoon, early morning is still the best time to come to Hatine with a lesser crowd, a bit of breeze from the greeneries surrounding the corner of the shop lot located amongts the dense residential area in Seksyen 10 Shah Alam. 
Steamy hot coconut rice is a must in Nasi Lemak and the lamb satay was excellent.

Food Thoughts: In KL, there are quite a number of places quite well know for their “tai Chow” and at this specific outlet at Imbi (slightly off Bukit Bintang). Soo Kee's humble beginning is in the 70s at Jalan Silang (near Maybank Tower) but have moved to Medan Imbi for 40 years. It's signature dish is the 生蝦麵 "Sang Har Meen", 牛河 "Beef Hor Fun", 紙包雞 "Paper wrapped Chicken" as well as 猪肉沙爹 "Pork Satay". 
If you are in to some of the "famous" 大树头苏记 Soo Kee fried noodles, you can find it as a kiosk/stall at USJ 4's Restoran New Apollo. Today, I am trying Soo Kee USJ 4's Beef noodle; bit starchy but beef is nicely cooked with tenderness still and enough "Wok Hay"!

Food Thoughts: Puchong Setia Walk, being an integrated commerical and residential area is definitely a place of convenience for those who live and work here; for its food and entertainments. I have heard that it becomes a lively place after dark with no less than half a dozen beer drinking spots including the "Brussels Beer Cafe" which unfortunately opens only after 2pm. 
So, today I have to do with a sip of coffee at around noon time here at Tipsy Brew O'Coffee. I chose for a combination of Latte+Expresso+IceCream! An extreme of sweetness and the cold of the IceCream to the bitter hot Expresso with Latte in between. 
The restaurant has a great ambience, I think those who dine in expects themselves to be quiet and so it was for the 2 hours in the coffee shop. The restaurant serves all-day breakfast, western cuisines, variety of cakes as well as local delights such as Laksa. Of course, there is also a variety of specialty coffee especially from South America (I think); which I would like to try next time.
Parking seems easy today on a weekday as I arrive here before 12 noon. I like this place!

Food Thoughts: After some research, Takumi Craft Beer is the first of the 15 or so craft beer spots I am visiting soon. 
"We always ask ourselves, how our beers can enrich peoples lives? We just brew beer for the people who love good beers" - Hitachino Nest Beer. Perhaps well said! 
Takumi serves not just craft beer, but whisky, all kinds of Japanese wine as well. Tasting sets comes in set of 3 of 150ml each glass and they do offer different varienties from time to time. Truely a place to be "Spirited away" with its ambience and typical Japanese attentiveness with cards that explain each drink served. I like it here, and certain will come by from time to time for its other craft beer offerings as well as wine sets! 
At about $17 per 150ml, its a little expensive but worth every penny in my opinion. Enjoyed the "Spirited away" session this evening!
