Thoughts: Quite interesting to be in Kuala Terengganu's China Town, quite a lot china hawker kopitiam here too. Once such is the 家乡小食馆 T.Homemade Cafe and one of the hawker stall 茵茵面档 offers Prawn, Fish, and Pork noodles. Not bad, an interesting experince in China Town Kuala Terengganu.

Thoughts: If you ask me to look for this little stall again, somewhere in an off-beat road off-Jalan Kuatan-Kemaman, inside a Malay village in Chukai, I'll probably won't be able to find it. But, along this road called "Jalan Kuala Kemaman - Bangsal Ikan" which is somewhere around 3-4km south bound from the town of Chukai. And on this very road itself of a typical Malay village called "Kampung Geliga Cik Ayob", there are easily a dozen (should be more) of similar shops/stalls or make-shift tents selling the favorite street foods of the east cost. My first taste of Satar and Lekor ever is here, and it is incredibly good. The taste of fish is really strong and fresh in this 2 very east coast cuisine.

Thoughts: I was skeptical when told that this Malay restaurant offers great seafood. But not so after tasting the Maggi Ketam and the rest of the seafood here; east coast certainly offers (in my opinion) great seafood, with more concern of its freshness. More importantly the price of fresh seafood here wasn't rediculous. 
4X4 Megi Ketam Bistro is somewhere in a town called Chukai in the Kemaman District of Terengganu. Operating only from the evening till mid-night, it can be seen along Jalan Kemaman-Kuantan (2km south of Chukai), driving south-bound from the Chukai via about 0.5km before after crossing the Kemaman river; coming into a village area called Kampung Geliga Cik Akob, 4x4 Megi Ketam Bistro is on the left of the main road (south-bound). (Further south 1km from the restaurant is the beautiful Monica Bay!)

Thoughts: Perhaps ask any locals (even Malay or Chinese) here in Chukai, they can easily point out that 海滨咖啡店 "Hai Peng Kopitiam" is one of the best if not "the best" or must-go Kopitiam if you happen to be in Kemaman! But as usual, some say it is overrated! But I like it, I like the "strong" black coffee (with that hard sour taste in it). and first time eating the Malay Dagang rice with a mackerel fish (ikan kembong) got my taste bud tingling for more while in Kemaman, I like the old style settings with the character of the early days of childhood in the 60s and 70s.
海滨咖啡店 has been in business in Kemaman since the 1940s and has somewhat become an "Instituation" in itself and was once said to be synonymous with the district of Kemaman, Terengganu. 
At the end, food do not have to be complicated, it can be simple and cheap as well but leave one lingering for more and remembering it forever!

Thoughts: Although, it does seem to be a simple breakfast noodle with mackarel fish (locals call it ikan kembong) 鲭鱼面, it is not an exaggeration to say that one can taste the freshness of the sea as the fish was likely netted just hours ago from the sea! and this is one of the best breakfast one can have anywhere. 
And perhaps, it is such simple things can makes life itself so close to nature that attracts most people who live in these small town of the east coast of our country. Or, more often that those 游子 who travelled to the cities in the west coast have reasons for yearning to return home here. 
The stall, in a home-like setting, doesn't even have a name anywhere except a poster that says 愛梅姐鱼面, in "Kampong China" of the Chukai Town of Kemaman District of Terengganu.
