科罗娜啤酒 Corona Extra $28 (2)
Thoughts: Corona Extra is a pale lager produced by Cervecería Modelo/Grupo Modelo (which is a brewery in Mexico owned by a Belgium Company) in Mexico for domestic distribution and export to all other countries.
Corona takes its name since 1925 with the "Crown" as a logo. Notice our Corona beer was served with a lime wedge. One explanation seems that it is a northern European tradition of adding citrus to their beer came with them!
Another explanation was the additional piece of lemon on the drink gives customers the impression that there is value add from drinking the beer in a restaurant or bar over just buying off the corner store. This is in addition to having the drink served cold in a glass.
Other theories of why a lemon wedge was to clear the rust at the mouth when there were metal caps, I saw another theory was to keep the flies away from the beer! LOL!
I saw someone explain about it being from Mexican history that usually poor Mexican workers used to drink a kind of a very cheap US beer but they didn't like the taste so that's why they put some salt and lemon (as they do with tequila) to give it a better taste and flavor!
