Tan Ngan Loh herbal tea is the product of a company called 文強藥廠有限公司 Wen Jiang Medical Industries Sdn. Bhd. founded in 1963 by 馮兆輝先生 Mr. Foong Chow Hwey. Mr Hwey who was instrumental in formulating various nutraceutical products and in bringing tremendous growth to the company. To meet the changing trend of the modern world, he pioneered the first herbal tea in a convenient, ready-to-serve teabag for its herbal tea product called Tan Ngan Lo (translated as 单眼佬凉茶 one-eyed man) Medicated Tea.
Tan Ngan Lo medicated tea is a herbal mixture made with various of natural herbs. The formulation is especially help in moderating health problems such as sore throats, flu, and lethargy. The product is a trusted name for over 40 years. It is also packaged in filtered teabags for convenience, portability, and easy preparation. In 2007, it made 单眼佬凉茶 into a canned drink where it is produced at Kian Joo Can Factory, whose plant in Batu Caves has the capacity to produce 700 million cans a year.
Few years ago, 单眼佬凉茶 can be found as Kiosk all over town at local and prominent malls alike.

Thoughts: The 2 snacks that people usually take-away or dine-in are the Egg Tart and Chicken Sou. The name of the restaurant at Damen is Nam Heong Ipoh, according to web search; it is a branch of the Ipoh's venerable Nam Heong Kopitiam which is famous for its Ipoh white coffee and Ipoh chicken rice/noodle (if the web info is correct)!
There used to be a Nam Heong chicken rice restaurant at USJ 9 for many years (next to 超级补习 "Super" Tuition center), but closed a few years back due to slow business. However, this Nam Heong at Damen seems to be always full house since day 1 of its opening!
I still personally think the Egg Tart from 唐记 Tong Kee is still the best in town when it is fresh out of the oven.

Thoughts: I have tried the normal Laksa bowl $8.90 on 12.11.2016 for dinner; it has already been more than 6 months since I tasted Ah Cheng Laksa! This time, I ordered the Junior Curry Laksa just about $5 is a small bowl of Laksa with one piece of chicken, 2 pieces of tofu-pok, few slices of bean curd, some long beans and bean sprouts. May not be enough for a lunch meal for most people but it you have a smaller appetite, this one will surely do. The curry is very creamy with coconut and I guess most people who like it will drink it all.
Ah Cheng currently has 2 restaurants outlets, one at Mutiara Damansara and another one I think at Giant Shah Alam. The others are Kiosk much like this one at Damen USJ 1. I remember there is another Ah Cheng Kiosk next door at Summit Mall USJ 1.
I feel very good about Ah Cheng Laksa today, I guess it was my own problem 6 months ago on 12.11.2016 or maybe a smaller bowl fits me better! LOL!

Thoughts: The stall is called ANN YTF, many locals come here for the Chee Cheong and Yong Tao Foo, both take-away and dine-in. That's why the owner hires two foreign workers to help out. It is likely a favorite to the locals because he makes his Yong Tao Foo fresh everyday. Yong Tao Foo is $1.20 per piece and Chee Cheong Fun is $1.00 per piece. When the dish is served, you will always get two bottles, one chili sauce and one sweet sauce. He also sprinkles some green onions on the plate.

Thoughts: The flat white is 'like a latte with a little less milk and more espresso'. In my opinion, it is likely between Latte and Cappuccino. I think the flat white is like the "Cham" in our Tea+Coffee thing. I still prefer Latte if I want more milk in the coffee or the Cappuccino which is probably the least milk of the three. Then again, I maybe all wrong about the Latte, Flat White, or Cappuccino.
While having the Chicken Burger, I just wish it was a Pork Burger instead! Too bad, no Pork Burgers at McD here!

Thoughts: Restaurant North 28 and Moorthy are next to each other at USJ 14. After the Chicken Feet Wan Ton Mee, I walked right next into Moorthy for an Indian banana roti canai. Very sweet with lots of banana, sugar, and must have been in the pan with a lot of butter as well. Nice and Fatty! There are generous amount of banana slices in the bread, the sweet banana bread and the curry dip is a challenging combination!
I am becoming a fat frog!
It is interesting to note that the roti canai or roti cane or "Indian flatbread" origin is very Malaysian or around this region and not from India.

Thoughts: Ordered the Cha Siew Wan Ton Mee initially, but walked back to change it to Chicken Feet instead. Used to be $6 not too long ago (few months I think), now it is $6.50! But the chicken feet is well cooked, very tasty. You get a pair of chicken feet and one small mushroom, no wan ton, just the soup.

Thoughts: 1.5 Chickens for 5 person at Nando is a lot on the table. The price of Whole and Half Chicken is only about $1 difference. The Peri Peri sauce is not really for the faint-hearted, every bottle I tried seems hot! According to the story of Peri Peri on the wall at the restaurant, the Portuguese discovered it in East Africa from some called "African birds eye chili"!
Drinks are bottomless (unlimited refills), they costs $6 - $8 (not all drinks refillable). But drinking water is free!

Thoughts: Looks like moody skies with overcast of clouds, stinky hot even at 2pm. The Starbucks croissant only lasted less than 3 hours, I needed quick bite for the hungry stomach. Went for a drive around Good Year Court area at USJ 14 and decided on Seri Badar Restaurant. A couple of single Indians savoring their Teh Tarik in this open air restaurant at the corner of the shop lots next to Petronas Petrol Station; if there were no fans in the restaurant, it would definitely be like in an oven. It seems that Seri Badar opens 24 hours. The restaurant is visible from Jalan Kemajuan (one of the two main roads in USJ) as you drive towards Main Place next to Petronas.
I ordered Roti Canai and a hot Teh Tarik, a hot drink in a hot day can cool you down while a cold drink will make you thirstier! I like the traditional Roti Canai here, without that crispiness, it is very floury.
Teh Tarik is milky, sweet despite I asked for kurang manis!
