Thoughts: Malaysia's first one-stop home solution from China's 居然之家 Easyhome Mall, some say that it is major rival to IKEA specifically in the China Market. Easyhome Mall will be transforming Damen Mall in USJ 1 into Malaysia’s first smart home experience centre, since renovations started end of 2025, and reported to be officially grand opening on April 26, 2026. But today's visit does seem that it is not yet ready with renovation still under progress on a Sunday evening!

Today's dinner is at 山東餃子館 Shandong Dumpling House which is located near to KFC at the "North-East Exit" of Damen Mall (or now renamed as Easyhome Mall). The restaurant offers a variety of 水餃 Steamed Dumplings and 鍋貼(煎餃) Pan-Fried Dumplings, Chinese noodles (like 重慶小麵 Chonqqing Noodle, Hot & 酸辣粉 Sour Noodles, 山東炒雞 Shang Dong Fried Chicken, 酸菜魚 Sauerkraut Fish, and many 雞肉 chicken, 魚肉 fish, 牛肉 beef, and 羊肉菜餚 mutton dishes.
The rm$10 "老北京炸醬麵 Old Beijing Zhajiangmian" was definitely a likable dish; is a classic Chinese dish of thick, chewy 手工切面 hand-cut noodles topped with aromatic 豬肉末 mixture of minced pork, 發酵黃豆醬 fermented yellow soybean paste, and 甜麵醬 sweet bean sauce. It is traditionally garnished with crisp, fresh julienned vegetables like 黃瓜絲 cucumbers, 蘿蔔絲 radish, and 燙過的豆芽 blanched bean sprouts. 起源於山東省 Originated in Shandong province but became a 京菜的代表 staple of Beijing cuisine during the 清朝時期 Qing Dynasty, often associated with 當地的胡同文化 local hutong culture. It is a 傳統的北方菜 traditional Northern Chinese dish.The Shandong Dumplings are rm$12 each for a Steamed version of "鲜肉白菜蒸水餃 Pork and cabbage steamed dumplings" as well as Pan-Fried version of "鮮肉鍋貼 Pan-fried Pork Dumplings", both comes with 10 pieces. 山東餃子 Shandong dumplings are 方風味的中國餃子 Northern-style Chinese dumplings (jiaozi) known for their thick, 手工面皮 handmade dough wrappers and often feature fillings based on 當地海鮮為原料 local seafood, such as 鯖魚 mackerel (also available in the menu), and looking forward to sample in the next visit.
Besides the said dishes, 山東餃子館 Shandong Dumpling also offers a variety of 中式烤串 Chinese Skewers and 瓶裝啤酒 bottled beers.
