Thoughts: Black Canyon restaurant in Malaysia was brought to the country by B-Canyon (M) Sdn. Bhd. (part of the JRBC Group), with the master franchise acquired in 2002 to introduce the 泰式咖啡館 Thai coffee house conc ept. The brand was founded in 泰國 Thailand in 1993 by Pravit Chitnarapong and 專注於高品質阿拉比卡咖啡 specializes in high-quality Arabica coffee and 泰式融合菜餚 Thai-fusion cuisine.

Interesting not that the first Black Canyon restaurant in Malaysia opened in 2002 at The Summit USJ. However, after Covid and finally in 2021, the outlet in Summit USJ was closed and relocated to Setia City Mall. According to the official Black Canyon website, the F&B have at least 29 (or maybe 30) outlets in the country (most in West Malaysia and 1 in Kuching). 

Appetizer today is a rm$16.95 "烤黑胡椒鮭魚沙拉 Grilled Black Pepper Salmon Salad" with:

泰式雞肉炒河粉 Thai Ladna Chicken (rm$19.95) is a popular Thai street food dish consisting of wide, flat rice noodles topped with a savory, thickened gravy, tender chicken, and Chinese broccoli (or Kai Lan from Black Canyon kitchen today). It is a comforting, Chinese-influenced dish where the noodles are often stir-fried with dark soy sauce to develop a char before being drowned in the gravy. Like typical "大炒 Dai Chao" 滑蛋河粉 "Wat Dan Hor" except without the egg! The dish also comes with a small bowl of Tom Yam soup. 

The rm$11.95 "黑咖啡冰 Black Iced Coffee Champ" is highly recommended for strong black chill coffee goodness.

The motivation of the creators of T.R.F are to 推廣更健康的飲食方式 offer healthier eating with "全食物 whole foods", 橄欖油 olive oil; generally a meal option with nutrient-dense, filling meal  high in 含蛋白質 protein and 纖維 fiber. For 碳水化合物 carbs will be either 糙米 brown rice, or 蕎麥麵 soba; and 蛋白質 protein will be 水煮蛋 boiled eggs, 慢燉雞片 slow cooked chicken slices, 鮭魚 salmon or 多利魚 dori fish (albeit grilled); served with 搭配沙拉 salad.
