Thoughts: my lunch, mixed rice with 3 items: 番茄炒蛋 sweet tomato fried egg, 罗汉斋 loh hon chai, and 排骨 pai guat as well as free soup of the day and chinese tea at rm$7; tasty and value for money, very nice.
The new eatery "888 開飯咯食堂 Kai Fan Canteen" offers economy beehoon and noodles varieties for morning breakfast which i sampled when it first opened on 26 Dec 2019. For lunch, its affordable economy rice and at night local beer is available until 10pm! For lunch time economy rice, I think the restaurant offers maybe around 30 - 35 dishes; bao and limited dim sum (since morning) is still available. The economy rice comes with free soup of the day plus free flow chinese tea; pay extra for other beverages choices as well as fruits.
