Thoughts: 伍記餅家 Ng Kee Cake Shop is probably one of the oldest Biscuits and Cake Shop in Penang, faithfully offering pastries before 農曆新年 Chinese New Year and 中秋節 Mid-Autumn festivals; and has been doing it for the past 100 years. Ng Kee Cake Shop was first started by a 羅伍 Mr Loh Ng as a food stall in the 1920s in Georgetown, Penang. Traditional pastries include 粵式婚禮糕點和餅乾 Cantonese wedding pastries and biscuits, 鳳凰糕點 Phoenix pastries, 胡椒餅乾 Pepper biscuits, 椰子撻 Coconut tarts, 老婆餅 Wife biscuits, and more. A variety of delectable 月餅 mooncakes are also available during the Mid-Autumn Festival.
