Thoughts: Not sure Penang Hill offers any good spots for Sunset and perhaps definitely the Sunrise as the main areas after alighting from the Penang Hill Funicular Railway station are mostly facing the East direction.

Best spots for Sunrise in Ayer Itam:

• The Habitat - (Curtis Crest Tree Top Walk): Offers the highest 360-degree view
• Penang Hill Skydeck & Skywalk - Located near the top station
• Bellevue Hotel Area/Upper Station Plateau - A classic spot for viewing the sun rise
• Air Itam Dam

• Kek Lok Si Viewpoint

(Take the train up maybe around 06:00pm for the Sunrise around 07:00 to 07:30pm)

Best spots for Sunset in Ayer Itam:

• The Habitat - (Curtis Crest Tree Top Walk): Offers the highest 360-degree view
• Penang Hill Skydeck & Skywalk - Located near the top station
• David Brown's Restaurant & Tea Terrace

(Take the first train up at 06:30am for the Sunrise at 07:15 to 07:35am)

Sunset at Penang Hill offers a spectacular, panoramic experience, particularly from the Curtis Crest Tree Top Walk at The Habitat, which is the highest point on the island providing 360-degree views. Visitors can witness vibrant colors over the rainforest and mainland, followed by breathtaking views of George Town lighting up at dusk. However the entrance to the Curtis Crest requires approximately rm$60 for Adults which opens daily from 09:00am to 09:00pm.
